Dag en Nacht in Enschede

Living in Enschede is really romantic especially if you have partner to live here. Het is jammer dat ik geen vriendin/meisje heb :p. Well if you can see the picture of Enschede at night, it is really romantic city. You can feel that Enschede is belong to both of you.

What I like from Enschede is safe and quiet place to live. That's not a suitable place for you if you are looking for a crowd. Well you can still find it in the bar or cafe during the evening.

This view is really nice because for me itshows the real Enschede. Well it's not too bad if compared with other cities in Holland. Enschede is a very special city for me, everytime I am back to Enschede if I got a trip somewhere, I always feel peace when I stepped my feet in this city.

Absolutely Enschede is silence but nice. Well it has big football stadium, known as Arke Stadium, owned by FC Twente. If Ajax, PSV, & Feyenoord came to our home, Enschede became really crowd, even sometimes traffic comes badly.

almost 70% of the populations here is not Netherlander, during Tuesday and Saturday, there are more German people come to Enschede to eat some fresh seafood in the Central Heart of Enschede, we called as "Centrum". I can't say too much about Enschede, but you have to come here to see the biggest city in Overissel. It took about 15 minutes to go to Germany.

There was just FIFA World Cup U-20 held in this city, and the winner of 2005, Argentina, played more than 3 times in Enschede. I am lucky to get the signature from all the Argentinian players. CIAO...

Madame Tussaud Netherland

What a great day to meet wonderful people in Amsterdam. I went there with my friend just to look arround, but we are really lucky with only some ammount to meet famous people such Tom Hanks which you can see on the side and many more. I'd like to tell sort story what happend in July 18th, 2005.

It was arround 06.00 pm. I walked in front of Madame Tussaud Amsterdam. I looked inside the price is too expensive for me as a student, but when I walked out from the cashier to check the price, suddenly one beautiful girl came to us and asked us. She asked us whether if we want to go in, she would gave us special price. She gave us special price as a student, but we kept bargain it, till it get the lowest price ever. I won't tell the price but I you come along with us [me & my friend], you will know.

What's inside??? Well there are a lot of things, one thing there is a part that somebody under 12 years old and also someone with heart problem should not enter. It is called "SCREAM". It is really well designed. Even my friend get shock to see his own body in the mirror hahahaha really funny to see he shocked by looking at his own body huahuahuahuaLOL... Even I was trapped, I thought one thing is just a doll, but it is a real one, it moves it's also shocking me. Eventhough I am old enough to get haunted house, but it's still shocked me... :p

Afterwards we came to the place that we were waiting for. I met Tom Hanks, Michael Jackson, Freddy Mercury, U2, Bob Marley, Nelson Mandela, and still much more... I put some picture but not all yet. To see all you can visit my photo collection. Anyway thanks to Andrew who took the pictures.

It was really fun there, I will come next time there if there is new stars inside :)

Once Upon A Time In Amsterdam

Walking in the a capital city of Holland, Amsterdam. It was quite hot but eventhough it's hot but really fun. Actually I did not have any fun to go there, but because my friend went back to Indonesia, so I just continue my trip from Schipol [International Airport of Holland] to Amsterdam Central.

Arrived in Amsterdam Central directly walked to the Chinese food restaurant, having lunch with my friend. Then we went to DAM but we lost in "Red Light District". Well it's okay now... not as shock as the first time get there. We decided to took a tram to go to Van Gogh Museum.

Stoped a station before to take a look of guitar store but it's closed... so we walked to the museum. It was a really nice place, a big field surrounded by 3 museums and one concert gebouw [concert hall]. What a nice park. Directly to the locket to buy the ticket enterance for Van Gogh Museum, unfortunately photo is prohibited there, so there is no picture about the artwork, but well I saw with my eyes the artwork of my favourite artist in Highschool.

Unforgetable moment for me to be there. Unlucky for my friend because he can't find what he looked for... He needs to go to US to see the real one. But overall it is really nice museum. Inspired me a lot and living my spirit to do sketch and drawing.

That was the first trip to the museum.
This part dedicated to Vincent van Gogh.

BAMBUL

17 July 2005, 1 hour before midnight... We couldn't control our desire to satisfy our belly.
For your information, here in Enschede its really difficult to find an open store after 6 p.m.
We went to centrum with a hungry stomach, and a pocket full of money (joe's freezzzer money), in quest to find a Greek's restaurant.

We found Sirt*** Restaurant which we think it's cheap and also nice, but when we just entered, we were refused, they said that they were going to close soon. *!@$*%#@*... They judge us by our "fashion" (We wore sandals, t-shirt, and 3/4 pants). Well that's a big mistake for them... *%!*&%**!...

Since then we were looking for another restaurant. Right in front of it, there is BAMBUL restaurant, when we thought that it has strange name and we thought it must be very expensive and not nice, but once again, we can't hold our desire to eat. So we just enter that restaurant.

we sat in four persons table, then we ordered the most expensive menu in the menu-list. Even the waitrees said "You can't finisih the menu by 2 of you, but you can always asked us to wrap it if there are still left." [skip]

It was a very big portion of meat [beef, pork, chicken, and lamb] ugh.... full of fat, but whatever it is, we like it... That was our first time to eat that boast. We ate like an animal, see what happened before and after...

That was a really great food. Now I am going to sleep... I am too full... welterusten.

Rutbeek Excursion

Here we are, the PPI Enschede. Trip to Rutbeek was really nice but it was a really long trip ever with bike. It took more than an hour to reach the place. The picture above taken when we took a rest for a long walk, took about 2 hours to walk arround the lake. I thought it was just a small lake without any interesting things.

But then when I arrived there, I was really different what I thought before, we walked arround having lunch together aside the Rutbeek Lake, wathing people doing surfing, and one thing which is important, we also passed the "NUDE AREA", so all of people there are unclothes, it's normal here in Netherland.

Well we got a very peace message by the Lake itself, eventhough it was made by human, but it's really nice Lake I ever seen. When I just sat down in the sun, plug my feet to the water which is cold, and listen to the music that played by my friend, singing together... Feel how peace it is. Nice environment.

Who said Enschede is not interesting? Well even there is no mountain there, but there is a beautiful lake.

You have to go there!

(The picture of me with the vodka bottle, is not a real vodka. it's just the bottle but the inside is normal water)

The Roelofers

I am, one of the Roelofers that will move to our new places. We are not a 'boy band', we are a group of international student that live in one area somewhere in Enschede. A year we spent together. With the background of the building where we live before, Roelof van Schevenstraat.

This picture taken by Adit, thanks to Adit, well he is not Roelofers that's why we asked him to take our picture. Well guys I will miss you all. Thanks for a great time having fun together and no wonders sometimes we are fighting also hahaha... but it's life. Nothing perfect.

Above all we are still Roelofers and we need woman... hope next time at least there is girl in Roelof. Cheers :P

Farewell Roelof van Schevenstraat

One year passed away. Time is keep flowing. No matter what it is, well 10 months is enough to feel the peace of Roelof van Schevenstraat. Now is the time to find better house to keep us away from wind, rain, or even storm.

Well I feel a bit sad when I have to move on, because RVS itself seems to be my home in the 'low sky' country. Starting from cleane
d everything in 2 days, I feel very busy till then I did not sleep. When a beautiful night after everything clean, I fall a sleep in the very last night to stay on my bed in RVS 104.

A very big room to stay, eat, play, having fun with my friends, etc. Heel mooi... well it's the time to say...

Good bye RVS.

Farewell for the Real Artist

I thought I can't meet a real artist, but believe it or not I am in the middle of them. Well I'd like to say thanks to this real artist who teach me how to sketch. She went home already to the most watery country in the world, surrounded by water... Located in South East Asia, known as Indonesia.

Thanks for the great chance to know you and glad to hear for your career in U.S. Don't forget to send me "something" from U.S. either Indonesia hehehe. Yeah! With viol she played with, and talented in singing, hoping to get one book that you involved with the signature...

Farewell Mrs. Architect, hoping to learn more from you. I will try to draw my best and show it to you some day. Adioz...
